Markiyan Malskyy was appointed as Arzinger's new Managing Partner, taking over from Founding and Senior Partner Timur Bondaryev.
Malskyy first joined Arzinger in 2008. In 2022, he moved to Kochanski & Partners where he led the Ukrainian Desk. He returned to Arzinger as a Partner at the beginning of 2025 (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on January 17, 2025).
"It is a great honor for me to take over as Managing Partner of Arzinger, a law firm that, over more than two decades, has become a symbol of legal excellence in Ukraine and far beyond," commented Malskyy. "It is also a great responsibility to continue developing and strengthening the brand created thanks to the strategic vision, dedication, and tireless work of Timur Bondaryev, Sergii Shkliar, Rainer Arzinger, and many other partners. I have been with the company for more than 15 years and have worked my way up from an Associate to a Managing Partner. I am sincerely grateful to the partners for their strongly expressed trust and support. My task is to preserve and enhance all the best that has been created while responding to the new challenges posed by the modern legal industry and wartime."
“It is vital for any business to regularly 'refresh the blood' to boost the new energy," Bondaryev added. "This is the reason I decided to resign from the position I have held for many years to give the new generation of Partners a chance to step into it. I am happy that the Partners unanimously supported Markian's candidacy and believe that his fresh perspective and experience will help to strengthen Arzinger's positions. Markian has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills during his time as a Partner at the firm and I have no doubt that he is the ideal choice to achieve the goals set by the Partners."
