Sorainen has advised SafePAS on a EUR 700,000  investment round that saw the participation of Securetec Detektions-Systeme, the Estonian Business Angels Network, PurposeTech, BSV Ventures, and the Beamline Accelerator.

According to Sorainen, the investment round will help SafePAS accelerate the market launch of Drug Hunter, a portable drug detection analyzer developed for onsite use, alongside other next-generation testing tools. Developed in collaboration with the Estonian police and winner of the 2023 Europol Innovation Award, Drug Hunter offers lab-grade precision and cost-effective drug detection capabilities. It can detect 97% of existing drugs in saliva within minutes and is designed for use in the field.

The Sorainen team included Partner Mirell Prosa, Counsel Olivia Kranich, and Associate Eva Lennuk.
