Former White & Case Local Partner Tomas Scerba and Michal Hink – previously Dentons’ Czech Republic Managing Partner – have joined DLA Piper’s Prague office as Partners. Alongside the two, Leo Javorek also joined the firm as a Counsel.

According to DLA Piper, Scerba has “almost 12 years’ experience as an attorney focusing on information and communication technology, commercial and contract law, intellectual property, antitrust and competition, and energy.” Prior to joining DLA Piper, he spent over four years with White & Case and, earlier, 12 years with Pokorny, Wagner & Partners, eight of which as a Partner.

Hink is a real estate specialist with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to joining the new team, he spent two years as Head of Legal with Heimstaden. Earlier, he spent almost eighteen years with Dentons – having joined the team in 2004, when it was still Salans – the final two and a half of which as Country Managing Partner. He started his career with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in 1998.

“I am delighted to welcome our three new experienced lawyers, who are at the top of their respective fields and who will no doubt thrive within the Prague office,” DLA Piper Country Managing Partner Miroslav Dubovsky commented. “In addition to a wide range of experience in corporate and commercial law, Tomas will bring increasingly sought after knowledge of IT and cybersecurity and digital economy. Leo's experience in bank financing will strengthen our finance and financial restructuring practice, which is growing rapidly each year, and Michal has an excellent combination of experience in both top-tier advocacy and the European real estate investment market.”
