Wardynski & Partners and Wolf Theiss Advise on Scania's Acquisition of Northvolt Systems’ Industrial Division

Wardynski & Partners, working with Vinge, has advised Scania on its acquisition of assets from Northvolt Systems’ Industrial Division. Wolf Theiss and Mannheimer Swartling advised the sellers.

According to Wardynski & Partners, the Northvolt Systems’ Industrial Division specializes in the production of battery systems for heavy industry and off-highway market segments. Moreover, it develops and manufactures a portfolio of battery modules and systems used in cargo handling, warehousing, construction, and mining equipment. Via this transaction, Scania acquired a leased production facility in Gdansk and secured the transfer of employees under transfer of undertakings provisions, thereby protecting employment.
