AbbVie has promoted Romanian lawyer Alex Potlog in the role of Legal Director for the UK and Ireland.
As part of the Potlog’s role, he will be responsible for strategic legal support to the business teams covering a broad range of commercial, competition, regulatory, and privacy matters.
Potlog started his career as a Summer Associate at PwC in Romania in 2007. He moved to London in 2008, where he worked as a Summer Associate at Linklaters, and then joined DLA Piper, where he worked as a Junior Associate from 2009 to 2012, Associate from2012 to 2015, Managing Associate from 2015 to 2017, and Senior Associate/ Lead Lawyer from May 2017 to September 2017. In 2014, he worked as a Seconded Lawyer at GSK, where he stayed for two months. He moved back to Europe in 2018, working as an Associate Director and Legal Director for Developed Markets at Astellas EMEA, prior to joining AbbVie.
