Sayenko Kharenko has advised the European Fund for Southeast Europe on the provision of a EUR 15 million UAH-equivalent loan to Bank Lviv via the fund’s Ukraine Sub-Fund.

EFSE is an impact investment fund supporting entrepreneurship and financial inclusion in Southeast Europe and the Caucasus.

Bank Lviv is a regional lender focused on MSMEs and agribusinesses, especially in Western Ukraine.

According to Sayenko Kharenko, the financing will support the resilience and competitiveness of micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine, contributing to the country’s inclusive recovery. In addition to the loan, the package includes dedicated grants aimed at improving access to finance for war-affected businesses, particularly newly established and relocated MSMEs. These measures address collateral gaps and market disruptions, helping safeguard business continuity and viability amid heightened risks.

The Sayenko Kharenko team included Partner Igor Lozenko, Senior Associate Oles Trachuk, Associate Yevhen Koval, and Trainee Polina Savinska.
