Freshfields has advised Aurelius on its acquisition of US-based Xylem's international smart metering business.
The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.
According to Freshfields, the acquisition spans inter alia Europe, the UK, and North Africa. "The transaction involves the acquisition of the water metering, heat metering, and advanced metering infrastructure business outside of North America, which is to be carved out from Xylem’s global operations across more than 20 jurisdictions," according to the firm.
The Freshfields team included Vienna-based Counsel Lukas Pomaroli and Associate Marcel Neuhauser, as well as a team from the firm's US and German offices.
